Feeder heifers under 500 lbs were lightly tested, with 5 weight heifers selling steady to 5.00 lower, 600-650 lbs 4.00-6.00 lower and pot load of 715 lb heifers of similar weight and quality traded 12.00 lower than pot load from two weeks ago with two pot loads of 770-782 lb heifers selling with a lower undertone. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate the best demand was on 450-650 lb steers. Quality was very good on the steer calves weighing 450-700 lbs and sold with good demand on and active market. CME cattle futures continue to ride a volatile roller coaster reversing sharp losses on Monday as selling seemed to be exhausted from Monday's trade as Feeder Cattle contracts for January closed with limit gains of 8.25 and March and April up 7.20. Live Cattle contracts front three months closed 2.87 to 4.20 higher. Slaughter cows sold firm to 5.00 higher.
