Compared to the last auction three weeks' ago, feeder steers and heifers all sold with a firm to higher undertone with few good comparisons. Tuesday's sale was highlighted by two pot loads of top quality 825-830 lb steers selling with very good demand along with a pot load of 635 lb heifers and pot load of 595 lb heifers. Feeder cattle futures on the front three months closed with solid gains of over 2.00 with September and December corn closing 15 1/2 cents lower. Slaughter cows traded sharply lower from the last auction selling mostly 10.00-12.00 lower.
