Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves under 700 lbs sold with a firm undertone on a light offering and test, 700-850 lbs steers sold 3.00-5.00 higher on comparable sales and weights. Feeder heifers weighing 400-600 lbs sold 2.00-4.00 higher and over 600 lbs sold fully steady. A very active market on yearling steers over 700 lbs especially the pot load of 823 lb yearling steers coming off grass sold with very good demand as the yearling steers over 700 lbs all sold with good weighing conditions, good quality and the kind order buyers are after. CME cattle futures on Tuesday had a very good day of trading with triple-digit gains.
