Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week, steers sold 3.00-10.00 higher and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher except for a load of fancy 7 weight heifers selling 10.00 higher and the 400-450 lb weight range selling sharply higher. Demand was good for a moderate supply. The recent rainfall likely kept some cattle at home, but a nice offering of calves and yearlings brought about some new price levels not seen before. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.
