As filed

Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs sold with a higher undertone and heifer calves which were better tested last week sold 5.00-10.00 higher with spots 15.00 higher, yearlings sold steady. Demand was good for a moderate supply with a fairly even mix of calves and yearlings. Cattle futures were sharply lower Tuesday but that seemed to have little to no effect on the cash feeder market. The spectacular growing season thus far has pressured corn, which is hovering around the $4.00/bu mark and could be considered "cheap" and most operations are in a much better feed supply situation than the last several years.
