Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 8.00 higher except for heifers calves weighing 400-550 lbs and a few groups of thinner steers weighing near 550 lbs that sold 10.00-15.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for a moderate to heavy supply. Trade was active. A strong start to the week for cattle futures following a slightly bullish Cattle On Feed report helped put a spark back into the market. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-5.00 lower.
