Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady to spots 5.00 higher except for some lighter weight male calves under 425 lbs selling sharply higher as several packages broke the $4.00/lb mark. Demand was good to very good with a mix of both long weaned yearlings and new crop calves. Supply was moderate as the majority of last year's spring calf crop has been marketed and the fall born's are just starting to really show up. Slaughter cows sold 4.00-10.00 higher, spots 13.00 higher with an additional buyer helping push the market higher.
