Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady. Demand was moderate for a light to moderate supply of mostly yearlings and several were carrying some flesh. Fed cattle traded lower to start the week as the large numbers in the feedyard and increased carcass weights as the result of the spring backlog have given packers the leverage. Slaughter cows sold 5.00-8.00 higher, bulls 2.00-3.00 higher.
