Compared to last week, steer calves under 550 lbs sold firm to 6.00 higher, heavier weights steady. Heifer calves under 650 lbs sold 3.00-7.00 higher with a light test of heavier weights trading with a steady undertone. Demand was good to very good for a light supply, but within that several attractive consignments of weaned cattle were offered with good weigh ups. Cattle futures were in the green on Tuesday. Slaughter cows sold mostly 3.00-5.00 higher, however some high dressing cows sold sharply higher. Slaughter bulls steady.
