Compared to last week, steer calves traded unevenly steady as calves under 550 lbs sold 5.00-10.00 lower, mid weight steers weighing 550-700 lbs sold mostly steady and heavier weights 3.00-5.00 lower. Heifers sold mostly steady to 3.00 lower. Overall, the quality wasn't as attractive as the past few weeks. Demand was moderate for a light to moderate supply that was affected by the difficult weather conditions. Negative market impacts this week have been the coronavirus and poor weather. Some cattle are starting to show up with noticeable amounts of mud. Slaughter cows sold steady to 6.00 higher with most of the advance on boning cows.
