Compared to last week, steer calves under 600 lbs sold 3.00-5.00 lower and steers over 600 lbs traded steady to firm. Heifers sold mostly 5.00 lower as feeder cattle followed the lower trend of the futures market the last few days. Demand was moderate for calves and good for yearlings, lightest for 400-625 lb heifers carrying much flesh. Supply was moderate to heavy with several smaller packages of cattle and un-weaned calves this week.
