Compared to two weeks ago, based on a few comparable sales feeders sold steady to 5.00 lower. A heavy supply of yearlings sold with near twenty load lots offered. Demand was good for the long strings of cattle despite several negative factors working against the market. Packers leverage against the feeder continues to work the fed market lower, while estimated packer margins continue to be near the $450 per head mark. That being said, futures finally showed some life on Tuesday and cattle posted solid gains. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower.
