No recent value added sale for a comparison, however compared to Monday's regular sale calves under 600 lbs. steady to 5.00 higher with some thinner fleshed wheat grazer type calves spots of 10.00 higher, feeders over 600 lbs. sold steady to weak. The supply was moderate with all cattle enrolled in some verified health program with shots and weaning and considered value-added. Demand was moderate to good. The best demand was for light weight calves that were of at least average to good quality but carrying little to no extra flesh. Heavier weight cattle struggled a bit as futures and slaughter markets have not shown any support to the feeder auctions lately.
