Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Wednesday, the bulk of slaughter cows sold 5.00-8.00 higher with a few high-dressing 10.00-11.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold 4.00-5.00 higher on a very light test. This was definitely a weather related market as cold temperatures and icy roads covering the entire region made moving cattle to market nearly impossible today. Freezing drizzle continued to fall during the day. Bred cows and cow/calf pairs were scarce. Supply was very light and demand very good for slaughter classes
