Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Feeders sold with a lower undertone but with no recent price comparisons available. Demand moderate to good. Nice feeder offering with several medium sized consignments of green yearling cattle weighing 550-750 lbs. The cattle market has seen a sizable correction since the last reported auction with fed cattle off around 30.00/cwt from their highs. While the tippy tops may be in for this cycle, the feeder market remains strong with the current calf crop once again estimated to be smaller. Mexican imports are set to resume later this month although lots of questions remain about how many cattle will actually cross the border by years end.
