Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Feeder supply not sufficient to establish a market trend. Slaughter cows firm to 2.00 higher. Demand good. The feeder market should be lower this week although it didn't really show in this weeks small offering of light weight cattle. Runs continue to be very light as prices have cleaned up any remaining yearling type cattle and we are still likely a few weeks from seeing bigger numbers of fall calves. Slaughter pace continues to be slow with cutouts rising and choice + grading reaching an unprecedented 90 percent.
