Based on limited comparisons with last week, feeder steers under 650 lbs steady to 4.00 lower, over 650 lbs firm to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs unevenly steady, few over 600 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher. Demand good. Supply moderate. The best test of the market came on some packages of high quality steers weighing 650-700 lbs. A special cow sale followed the feeders with several bred females and pairs drawing a good crowd and a very active trade.
