Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 2.00-5.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs 4.00-8.00 higher, over 550 lbs 2.00-4.00 higher. Slaughter cows 7.00-9.00 lower. Demand good. Supply moderate. There were around 900 head of good quality, reputation yearling steers and heifers from 5 consignments this week that drew some extra buying power and generated some impressive price quotes including 124 head of 771 lb steer @255.85 and 35 head of 661 lb steers @285.00. Much needed rain fell throughout the area Sunday and Monday with some pockets of heavy rain.
