Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Steers and heifers were not well tested but sold with a lower undertone. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher on a light test. Feeder cattle movement is very light around the circuit this week due mostly to sharply lower cash and futures prices caused by the current unrest and global recession fears. As usual in these moments opinions vary greatly with some pointing to still strong cattle fundamentals and an overdone correction while other seem to see the cattle on a crackling limb due to surprisingly high feedlot numbers, high carcass weights and potentially softening demand.
