Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers 5.00-15.00 higher except near 700 lbs steady. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good to very good. Supply moderate. The feeder market continues to move higher with tremendous demand for the packages of light grazing cattle. The feeder index has gained another 7.00/cwt over the past week. The recent strong performance of the fed cattle market may face an uphill battle this week with carcass weights turning higher, an expected reduced slaughter pace and beef cutout values trending sideways/lower.
