Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers weighing from 400-600 lbs sold steady to firm on comparable weights and quality with 5 weight steers and heifers selling 5.00 higher and 600-650 lb steers overall selling with a sharply higher undertone on a very active market with weights over 650 lbs were lightly tested. Demand was moderate to good on a light to moderate offering of feeders. Best demand and overall quality was on the 550-650 lb steer calves selling with some stick-out sales on good quality calves. Feeders overall sold in mostly small groups and packages. Slaughter cows on a large offering sold steady to 3.00 higher.
