Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers under 650 lbs 2.00-6.00 higher, over 650 lbs near steady. Feeder heifers under 600 lbs 3.00-8.00 higher, over 600 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. Demand good to very good. Supply moderate. Several good quality light cattle this week. Cattle futures and the fed cattle trade have struggled in recent days largely due to the latest round of health concerns/worker shortages but did see a bounce on Tuesday as slaughter volumes improved a bit.
