Several nice consignments of steers this week weighing around 750 lbs. It looks like we are in the "betting on the come" stage of the cattle cycle now as the 93 placement figure in Friday's Cattle on Feed report would seem supportive of the recent uptick in feeder cattle prices although it will take more than one bullish placement number to move the leverage needle. Wednesday's USDA acreage report for grains may or may not bring some early fireworks.
