Compared to the light offering three weeks ago, steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold with a higher undertone, especially on the better quality packages with good condition. Steers and heifers over 600 lbs were near steady. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand good. Supply heavy. The nice weather brought out a larger than expected run this week. The feeder market begins the new year on solid footing aided by good beef demand and a fed cattle market which has slowly gained ground for several weeks now.
