As filed

Compared to the last sale three weeks ago, steers and heifers sold sharply higher, with most weights tacking on anywhere from 20.00 to 45.00 over the last sale of 2025. Slaughter cows steady to 4.00 higher. What a way to ring in a new year at Green City Livestock with a full house of buyers and the ring full of top quality north MO cattle throughout the day. "Aggressive" doesn't really do justice to buyer activity, with some truly eye popping prices established this week. Not a huge number of true yearling cattle on offer and in many instances, anything weighing over 500 lbs brought about the same dollars per head. Optimism abounds. This sale is always known to produce a good pool of replacement heifers and while numbers may have been shorter than usual there, demand was not, with several smaller groups of reputation heifers going back home for development. Supply moderate to heavy, demand very good.
