As filed

Compared to last week's Thanksgiving Special, steer and heifer calves traded with a lower undertone. Quality was good but not as outstanding as last week's sale and most of the cattle on offer were right off the cow. The exception to the lower trend would be some light 400 lb steers which traded sharply higher, far surpassing a pretty psychological price level of 5.00/cwt. A few weaned 600 lb cattle did also manage to tack on 4.00 to 5.00/cwt. Cattle futures have strung together a couple very positive days but whether it's just a correction or a bullish rally remains to be seen. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
