No market trend available as this is the first MDA/USDA Market Report from Four State Stockyards. Today's offering was a bit lighter than typical for the stockyards. As has been the case for most auctions around the state this week a wide a mix of cattle came to town today. Early fall weather swings is resulting in discounts for short weaned calves or those without health programs, that being said even with discounts the market is historically high and producers are receiving checks bigger than they are used to. Those producers with uniform offerings having all the proper shots and weaning may not be setting all time records with every draft but some are pushing awfully close once again. Demand is good to very good and proportional to health risk associated with each consignment.
