Compared to the auction from last week, feeder steers traded 4.00-8.00 lower and feeder heifers steady to 3.00 lower. The market was active but did back off a bit from the supercharged prices from last week. More fleshy calves in the mix this week and that can lead to some price discounts this time of year. Grain markets continue to be stout and that is keeping feed cost high. Spring is slow to get started and some hay piles are about depleted.
