Compared to the last tested auction from three weeks ago, feeder steers under 700 lbs steady, over 700 lbs firm to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded 5.00-10.00 higher. The most advance was seen on the heavier weight cattle for a change as corn prices have eased back off their highs and buyers eye higher fat cattle prices that the futures market promises is just down the road. Several counties in Northeast Missouri were hit with a mini-derecho last Friday evening. Many homes and farmsteads were damaged along with thousands of acres of corn.
