Reporter comment USDA

As filed

No recent feeder sales to establish a trend, although a higher undertone noted on most weights, especially the grass prospect cattle. Slaughter steers and heifers 4.00-5.00 higher than the last reported sale from three weeks ago, and slaughter cows 4.00-8. 00 higher. Buyers and sellers were ready to do business after suffering through the past couple of weeks of near shutdown due to the extreme winter weather. The feeder market seemed to gain strength all day long. Demand was good and supply moderate.
