Eastern MO. Commission Company's annual Thanksgiving weekend Special Bred Cow and Heifer Sale, with the main attraction on the bred heifers was held Saturday November 30, 2024. This Thanksgiving weekend Special is known for its reputation consignments over the years as the offering was top quality. A top quality offering with several large consignments of near 300 head of mostly Black bred heifers mostly in the 3rd stage, few in the 2nd stage many AI bred with several consignments of top quality young cow/calf pairs sold with active bidding from a large standing room only crowd of buyers. Several consignments of top quality bred cows mostly 3-6 yrs of age mostly in the 2nd-3rd stage. Demand was good to very good with a moderate to heavy supply of bred heifers and cows. Receipts also included a nice offering of slaughter cows.
