Compared to the last special three weeks ago, a light test of 400-500 lb steer and heifer calves sold with a firm to higher undertone, 500-600 lb steers sold steady to 2.00 lower, 600-750 lb steers sold 3.00-6.00 lower. Feeder heifers weighing 500-700 lbs on comparable weights and quality sold mostly steady and 700-750 lbs heifers traded 2.00-4.00 lower. Slaughter cows on a good offering sold steady to firm. Feedlot trade has traded lower the last several weeks falling back to the 100.00 level putting some pressure on the feeder cattle market and making cattle feeders a little more reserved in their approach to buying calves and yearlings.
