Compared to the last special two weeks ago, comparable sales of the better quality steers weighing 550-800 lbs and heifers weighing 500-700 lb sold steady to 3.00 lower, with 700-750 lb heifers trading steady. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate, overall quality was not as attractive as the last special. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower. CME cattle futures traded with sharp declines this week and fed cattle also traded lower, but overall feeder prices held up very well on the yearlings weighing 650-800 lbs.
