Compared to the last special two weeks ago, the best test was on steers weighing 600-750 lbs selling mostly 2.00-4.00 lower, comparable sales of steer calves weighing 400-600 lbs were lightly tested and traded with a weak to lower undertone, steers over 750 lbs were not tested. Weaned heifer calves weighing 400-600 lbs sold mostly steady on comparable sales, with unweaned, fleshy, and average quality heifers selling with a lower undertone, yearling heifers over 700 lb were not tested. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher. Demand was moderate for weaned offerings with supply moderate. Friday's offering included many calves selling in small packages and singles selling with light to moderate demand. The Cattle On Feed Report Friday quoted on feed at 101 percent of a year ago; Placements at 110 percent and Marketigs at 99 percent.
