Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers weighing 350-500 lbs on a light test sold steady to firm, with 500-600 lbs selling 8.00-12.00 lower, spots 15.00 lower on the 500-550 lb steers, 600-750 lbs sold 3.00-8.00 lower, 8 weight steers traded mostly steady on comparable sales. Feeder heifers weighing 450-600 lbs sold mostly steady, with 600-700 lbs selling steady to 4.00 higher and 700-800 lb heifers trading steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows on a nice offering sold steady to 3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good with supply heavy. Overall feeder heifer prices held up better than the steer market from two weeks ago specially those weighing from 500-700 lbs. Cattle futures this week found liquidation selling as the fed cattle market held on with steady prices in the Southern Plains but mostly 3.00 lower in the Northern Plains.
