Compared to last week, a much larger offering this week with steer calves weighing under 550 lbs selling with a higher undertone on last week's light offering of calves, 550-650 lb steer calves sold with a sharply higher undertone with a much larger offering of long timed weaned and yearling kind in the offering, there was 7 pot loads of yearling steers weighing 825-935 lbs all selling with a firm to higher undertone with no comparisons from last week. Heifer calves weighing 400-600 lbs sold firm to 10.00 higher and over 600 lbs lightly tested but selling on a firm to higher market. Demand was good on a moderate offering with overall a good quality offering of calves and especially yearlings all selling on a very active market. Stick out sales included pot load 825 lb steers at 367.50, pot load 903 lbs at 355.25 and 120 hd steers weighing 935 lbs at 345.35. Heifers included a pot load fancy/thin 620 lbs at 394.75 and 58 hd thin 562 lbs at 418.00. Slaughter cows traded firm to 5.00 higher with the most advance on the high dressing cows.
