Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, steer calves under 650 lbs sold steady to firm, with 650- 700 lbs selling with a firm to higher undertone, pot load of 767 lb steers sold 14.00 higher than a near pot load from two weeks ago, with the pot loads of 825-857 lb steers selling with a sharply higher undertone. Heifer calves weighing 400-600 lbs traded 5.00-12.00 higher, with 600-650lbs selling firm to 5.00 higher. Demand was good to very good on a heavy supply. Nice quality offering of steers and heifers as the market remains very active, with fed cattle market continuing to advance to record high prices with the feeders following right along. Several stick out sales included 38 hd of steers weighing 595 lbs at 411.00, pot load steers 767 lbs 332.25, two pot loads steers 827-838 lbs 314.25-315.50 and 120 hd of steers 857 lbs at 316.10. Slaughter cows sold firm to 3.00 higher.
