Slaughter cows sold steady to firm, spots 3.00 higher on the high dressing cows. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. A good offering of 5 weight steer calves, with a pot load of 695 lb steers and two pot loads of 808 and 815 lb steers all sold with good demand. All commodities for the most part closed in the red on Monday with November corn closing 10 1/2 cents lower , November beans closed 14 1/2 cents lower with Live Cattle contracts closing 77 to 125 lower on the front three months and Feeder Cattle closing 120-127 lower on the front months.
