Compare to two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to firm, with 500-700 lb steers selling 3.00-5.00 higher, a light test of 700-800 lbs sold steady to firm, and two pot loads of 845-850 lb steers sold 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to firm, with 500-600 lbs trading 3.00-8.00 higher, 6 weight heifers sold with a firm to higher undertone on a light test and two pot loads of heifers weighing 705-710 lbs sold 2.00-5.00 higher. Several large strings of steers and heifer calves weighing 450-550 lbs sold with good demand on and active market for this summer time sale. Also in the offering were 2 pot loads of 8 weight steers and 2 pot loads of low 7 weight heifers also selling with good demand as this was a very active market on a large offering of feeders for a July sale. Slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 lower with the most decline on the breaking cows as boners and lean cows were mostly steady.
