Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 500-700 lbs sold steady, with 700-800 lbs selling steady to 5.00 higher with the most advance on the 750-800 lb yearling steers, feeder heifers weighing 450-600 lbs sold steady with 600-700 lbs trading with a higher undertone with few comparisons with last week. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-5.00 lower. Demand was moderate to good with supply moderate. CME cattle futures started the week with sharp gains as last week's higher fed cattle market generated buying interest and spurred feeder cattle market with active buying on yearling feeders.
