Compared to last week, feeder steers weighing 550-600 lbs sold 5.00-6.00 higher with 600-750 lbs steers selling 5.00-10.00 higher. Feeder heifers weighing 500-650 lbs sold 3.00-8.00 higher with all other weights not well tested. Slaughter cows sold fully steady to firm. A light run of feeder cattle, but overall a very good quality offering of steers and heifers weighing 500-750 lbs sold with very good demand on active bidding. Friday's bullish COF report prompted the CME cattle futures with sharp gains on Monday to start the week giving support to the feeder cattle market.
