Compared to last Thursday the feeder market was mostly lower with an average quality offering. Feeder steers 300-650 lbs were 3.00 to 6.00 lower with a good supply, while the 650-750 lbs steers were 5.00 to 6.00 higher with good demand and Yearling steers over 750 lbs were 4.00 to 6.00 lower with moderate demand. Feeder heifers were mostly 2.00 to 6.00 lower except for the 500-550 lbs heifers who were 4.00 higher. The downward movement in the futures market today greatly affected buyers interest and willingness to pay premiums for cattle today. Slaughter cows were mostly steady with a good supply and slaughter bulls were steady to 1.00 higher.
