Compared to last Thursday: Feeder steers under 400 lbs. sold sharply lower and those over 400 lbs. were 7.00-9.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 400 lbs. traded sharply lower and over 400 lbs. were sharply higher. The test on those lightweight calves was light but buyers continue to discount due to health concerns with the typical late winter weather. The demand for the heavier feeders was much stronger than in the previous couple of weeks. Slaughter cows sold 3.00-4.00 higher and slaughter bulls were 6.00-8.00 higher on a better quality offering.
