Compared to last Tuesday the feeder market was lower with an average quality offering. Feeder steers 500 lbs and under were mostly steady with a lite test, while the 600-700 lbs steers and the yearling steers were sharply lower with a good supply and moderate demand. Feeder heifers were 10.00 to 12.00 lower or greater across nearly every weight class with a good supply and moderate demand. Continued negative pressure in the futures market and the increasing heat and humidity has limited some buyers interest and the premiums they are willing to pay. Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 lower and slaughter bulls appeared 4.00 to 8.00 lower with a lite test and moderate demand.
