Compared to last week steers calves under 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher while steers over 600 to 800 sold 6.00 to 10.00 lower and steers over 850 sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Heifer calves under 650 lbs sold 2.00 to 5.00 higher while heifers over 700 lbs. sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. There were a lot of unweaned cattle today that sold just as high as the weaned cattle. Buyers are willing to purchase unweaned cattle for grass as long as they are good quality cattle with vaccinations. The receipts were moderate and sold on good to very good demand.
