Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Due to the Holiday there is no comparison this week, but slaughter steers and heifers were trending higher with better packer inquiry this week. Holstein slaughter steers were trending steady with cows and bulls trending higher. There were too few feeder cattle to get a good trend today.

One sale is one barn on one day. The state ladder is every Indiana auction USDA reported that week, weighted by head — the fairer test of whether a lot sold well.
