As filed

Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 10.00 lower while Holstein slaughter steers were 7.00 lower. Slaughter heifers were 12.00 lower and Holstein slaughter heifers were 14.00 lower based on a limited comparison. Slaughter cows were 27.00 lower and Holstein slaughter cows were 24.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were 31.00 lower and Holstein slaughter bulls were 31.00 lower. Lighter demand was noted for slaughter cattle this week which has been a direct impact of recent processing plants closing thus creating a back up across the Midwest. Choice/prime slaughter lambs were mostly 11.00 higher with good demand. No comparison available on slaughter kids due to a limited comparison, but good demand was noted.
