Compared to last week, slaughter steers are 4.00 lower. Slaughter Holstein slaughter steers were mostly steady. Both slaughter heifers and slaughter Holstein heifers were trending higher based on a limited comparison. Slaughter cows were mostly steady to 4.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were mostly steady but high dressing bulls were in high demand. An extreme heat advisory in the area was a contributing factor towards lighter receipts at the auction today.
