Compared to last week, slaughter steers were mostly steady to 3.00 higher. Holstein slaughter steers were mostly steady. Slaughter heifers were mostly steady to 4.00 lower. Slaughter Holstein heifers were trending higher based on light receipts. Slaughter cows were mostly steady to 3.00 higher. Favorable weather conditions contributed to lighter receipts this week as many producers were in the fields taking advantage of the good weather.
