Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers had instances of higher/lower with a good offering but less packer interest this week. No test on Holstein slaughter steers last week but a good offering of Holstein steers and heifers today that were trending much higher on high quality steers and heifers. There was a good offering of dairy/beef steers and heifers with good quality and good value this week with good buyer interest today. Cows were 5.00 to 8.00 higher with bulls 9.00 higher with active buyer participation on high dressing cows and bulls. Feeder steers had a light test today but were mostly steady and feeder heifers trending lower with feeder bulls sharply higher with lots of fancy type heifers and bulls and active bidding.
